Health disclaimer
Last updated 15 August 2026. Please read this before using anything on Glow Up.
Glow Up is education, not treatment
Glow Up is a general wellness and education product. The roadmaps, recipes, workout links and written content are information to learn from and experiment with - they are not medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a personalised nutrition prescription.
Nobody at Glow Up is acting as your doctor, midwife, obstetrician, physiotherapist, psychologist, lactation consultant or dietitian, and using Glow Up does not create a practitioner - client relationship.
Talk to a professional before you start
Please get clearance from your own healthcare provider before changing how you eat, how you move, or anything about your medication, especially if you are pregnant, recently gave birth, breastfeeding, recovering from a caesarean or a birth injury, or managing any health condition.
Your provider knows your history, your birth, your bloods and your medications. Glow Up knows six answers you typed into a form.
Things we will always point you to a professional for
Glow Up will not try to solve these for you, and our content deliberately stops short and refers you on:
- Breastfeeding, milk supply, weaning, or feeding difficulties - see your GP, midwife, child health nurse or a lactation consultant.
- Postpartum complications - heavy or returning bleeding, severe or worsening pain, fever, signs of infection, wound or scar problems, prolapse symptoms, leaking, or a gap in your abdominal wall that worries you.
- Any diagnosed or suspected medical condition, including thyroid conditions, PCOS, diabetes, high blood pressure, anaemia, or autoimmune conditions.
- Medications and supplements of any kind, including whether something is safe while breastfeeding.
- Mental health - low mood, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or feeling unable to cope.
- Disordered eating, a history of an eating disorder, or a relationship with food or the scale that feels distressing.
- Children's and babies' health, feeding, or growth.
If you need help now
In an emergency in Australia, call 000. For perinatal mental health support, PANDA is on 1300 726 306. For eating disorder support, the Butterfly Foundation National Helpline is on 1800 33 4673. For 24/7 crisis support, Lifeline is on 13 11 14. Outside Australia, use your local emergency number and services.
Exercise, at your own pace and your own risk
the movement library links to videos made and published by third-party creators on YouTube. We do not produce, supervise, review for your individual body, or take responsibility for that content, and following any workout is at your own risk.
Get clearance before returning to exercise after birth, start well below what you think you can manage, and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, heaviness or dragging in your pelvis, leaking, or coning or doming through your abdomen - then speak to a pelvic health physiotherapist.
Recipes and food content
Recipes are general ideas, not a meal plan built for your medical needs. Check every ingredient against your own allergies, intolerances, medical conditions and cultural or religious requirements, and follow safe food handling. Glow Up does not set calorie targets and is not a weight-management program supervised by a clinician.
No promised results
We do not promise weight loss, an amount of weight loss, a timeline, a body shape, or any other outcome. Bodies, births, recoveries and circumstances differ enormously, and nothing on this site should be read as a guarantee.
AI-generated content
Your roadmap is generated with the help of AI from the answers you provide. It can be incomplete or wrong, it does not know your medical history, and it should never be used to decide anything a health professional should decide. Always apply your own judgement and your provider's advice over anything Glow Up says.
